Heating core promotes even baking of cakes. Generally used in 3" or deeper cake pans that are at least 11" in diameter. Treat core inside and out with your usual butter and flour or cooking spray. Place core in center of pan (open end up) & fill batter inside the core and around the core to the same depth. Bake as normal. Once pan has cooled about 10-15 minutes, remove cake from core as you would with a normal cake pan. Replace cake back into the hole in the center of your cake. Continue by flipping your cake out onto cooling rack.
